Around 19.00h this Monday night, the whole downtown of Chamonix was without power for several minutes. If for some areas the electricity was restored within ten minutes, the area between the Rue Vallot and Club Med had no electricity for more than one hour. During a such busy period, a power failure like this had huge consequences for hotels, restaurants, Super U store or Club Med. Firefighters had to intervene for several elevators that were blocked.
