The Compagnie du Mont-Blanc supports the sustainable development policy implemented by the Chamonix commune. With the obvious emphasis on promoting public transport the recent increase in car park costs were to deter unnecessary car use, but given the recent reactions expressed by both tourists and residents of the Chamonix Valley to the hourly cost of the Brévent car park, the ski lift company have decided to review the parking rates as follows: Day rates : From 8:00 to 18:00, first hour is free and will then be charged at € 2 per 90 minutes. Night rates : From 18 :00 to 8:00 2 € per 90 minutes without the first hour free. It should be noted that these rates are higher than those charged in other town-centre car-parks and that the car park is aimed for day-skiers use.
