Ice Hockey: Chamonix 2 - Amiens 1 As part of the 10th day of the Ligue Magnus season, the Chamonix Hockey Club (HCC) last Saturday played host to the Amiens "Gothics", currently 9th place in the league. After a first third where the faster "Goths" had the upper hand, Chamonix teammates GRAS / AIMONETTO then continuously made their mark for the remainder of the match. After managing to equalize, Chamonix carried on to a convincing victory, to the great delight of the 850 spectators in the Richard Bozon stadium. This success is important for two reasons: the HCC moves up to second place overall, and it gives the club some momentum before the next three matches. The next league fixture is at home to Strasbourg on the 30 December 2011.
