Yesterday morning, on the Posettes section of the Vallorcine Balme ski area, a group of four skiers was surprised by a snow slide. A 43 year old skier was caught in the avalanche. He was dragged down the slope over a hundred meters and then jumped a cliff. Yesterday afternoon, at the intervention of the PGHM Chamonix, the man, Swedish nationality, suffered a pneumothorax and a broken back. The man was transported by helicopter to Sallanches, then transferred to Grenoble.
