Tue 17 Sept 2013, saw Mountain Radio Chamonix make an Official Launch at Hotel Morgane with a presentation followed by drinks.
Since May 2103 Mountain Radio Chamonix 'broadcast's over the internet via its website and a smartphone app.
Mountain Radio Chamonix, the only English-language radio station in Chamonix, is part of the Off-Piste Radio Network that runs Mountain Radio Verbier.
Mountain Radio Chamonix is supported by the Chamonix Mairie in collaboration with Radio Mont-Blanc.
The target audience is the international population of the Chamonix Valley. The Station features News and Events with extensive catalogue of contemporary music in every style.
"We want Mountain Radio Chamonix to be a great community station, one that you will find useful, relevant and entertaining. We're looking for people who'd like to get involved: you might have sales, technology and media skills or a background in journalism. Or maybe, you're just interested in finding out more." said Connor Lennon, the co-founder of the business behind the Station, Off-Piste Radio Network.
At the moment, the Radio Station does not have a base in Chamonix. It 'broadcasts' from offices in Switzerland, close to Verbier (22 Chemin du Planchamp - 1948 Lourtier). Also audio and video features are posted on their Facebook page.
