Best Mont Blanc sells to CHS

The Chamonix Hotel Society (CHS) has purchased this summer three hotel properties in Chamonix (Alpina, Prieuré and Croix Blanche). All the three hotels are rated 3 stars and come with three different restaurants for all occasions (Le Vista, La Baïta and La Brasserie de L'M). Beginning with 2014, for the renovation of Alpina and Prieuré, the company estimates a 7 million Euro investment.

So far, the hotels have been administrated by Best Mont-Blanc group. Best Mont-Blanc group had administrated Hotel Mont-Blanc, a landmark of the tourism in Chamonix with 150 years of existence. The hotel was bought in 2009 by Frantz Taittinger and renovated with a luxury service.

The CHS is a subsidiary of SHCR (Société hôtelière de Côte Rôtie), an important investment company in the hospitality industry from Lyon. The SHCR was founded in June 2010 by Anthony Pallier. The company portfolio comprizes 13 hotels with a total capacity of 1022 rooms. As a market strategy they try to develop their influence in the Southeast region by purchasing hotels rated from one to three stars in the Rhône-Alpes region and hotels rated three to five stars in the big cities from the Southeast region and create additional value through active asset management.

The CHS group is already present in Les Arcs, Les Deux Alpes and in Chamonix (with the Mercure Hotel). This acquisition represents a chance to continue their expansion in the mountain region while fully developing their services for official meetings such as seminars and conferences. With these brand new three hotels, the group adds 15 more conference spaces and 264 hotel rooms to their portfolio.

Four million Euro for Hotel Alpina

In 2014, the group intends to invest four millions Euro in Hotel Alpina and three millions Euro in Hotel Le Prieuré. Anthony Pallier, CEO of the SHCR, has declared "Our goal is to have a full offer for a destination such as Chamonix both in terms of individual leisure sojourn and in terms of locations for seminars"
