Last night, 13 November 2013, the Chamois beat Grenoble 6-5 in a hard fought 2nd leg of the League Cup quarter finals. Chamonix progressed to the semi-finals.
The first leg was a tie 3-3. Grenoble started this season among the favourites to win national titles and were confident of defeating the Chamois.
Instead, it was a victory for CHC. The Chamois won with an aggregated score of 9-8, eliminating Grenoble from the League Cup.
Chamonix scored in the first minute (1:14 Benjamin Rubin), taking the lead. The game was tight, 2-1 before the first third, 5-5 in the second third. Though outnumbered, Stéphane Gros' men played hard. The Canadian Kevin Gadoury scored the decisive goal in the last third. Gadoury, 25 yrs, is the League leader with 17 points (6 goals and 11 assists).
