Registrations have closed for the Mont-Blanc Marathon race, scheduled Sun 29 June 2014.
Registrations opened October 15, 2013 and there were masive subscriptions. The number of people who tried to register for this race, limited to 2000 runners, exceded four-times the limit. A number of slots have been reserved for nations and teams competing in the 2014 Skyrunning World Championships. From 2013, the Marathon is an official race on the ISF (International Skyrunning Foundation) calendar of international events - Skyrunner Trail Series. With 42km and climbing over 1000m, this semi-autonomus race is for the super fit!
The registration for the Cross du Mont-Blanc race has also been completed. This 23km race, with a positive vertical gain of 1454m, is limited to 1500 people and there were many people who didn't manage to get bibs.
Mont-Blanc Marathon is actually six different races under the single Mont-Blanc Marathon brand. The races are: Mont Blanc 80km, Mont-Blanc Marathon, Vertical km, Mont-Blanc Cross, Mont-Blanc 10km and Mini Cross. Check out the available races.
