X-ray discontinued in Chamonix Valley

From 1st January 2014, the Chamonix Hospital, alongside the Maison de Santé, no longer provides radiology services.

To keep up with continuing developments in medical imaging technology, the Radiology Department has been reorganised with more emphasis on ultra-sonography examinations.

In the event of a ski accident, the closest medical X-Ray service and treatment is provided in Sallanches.

Treatment is provided by the state and, depending on the country of your residency, may differ from that in your own country.

A patient airlifted off piste with a broken limb after a collision with another skier, will require travel insurance with Winter Sports included, to cover the high costs.

Alternatively, purchase insurance with your lift pass. For more info about medical centres in the Chamonix valley, check the useful numbers!
