From the total of 84, 30 cabins have been delivered. Once the new system lift is operational the estimated journey time will be 6min 52s at a speed of 6 metres per second and with a full capacity of 10 persons per cabin. The new Plan Joran lift will be capable of transporting over 3000 persons/hour.
The base station of Argentiere next to the Lognon telepherique at 1242m, will continue to be the departure point for the new telecabine. The lift has a total height gain of 896 metres, taking passengers up to an altitude of 2138 metres. Also, as part of this project, cable maintenance work is on going.
The works for the new Plan Joran Gondola are on schedule, as announced by the CMB. The preparations for the project started in June 2014 and the new lift is scheduled to open at the beginning of the 2014/2015 winter season.
The CMB has a lot going on in the Valley, but all this is necessary to guarantee the best conditions at the start of the winter season.
