Valerie Pache: Haute Couture at its Peak

Have you ever heard of Valerie Pache? Who is she and why is she present on the covers of magazines all around Europe?

What is the result of combining ecological ideology, recycling and haute couture? Valerie is the one to give us the answers to all our questions.
Above all she is a designer, and a couturier. Far from being a simple designer, this green-designer creates fashionable clothes from old, used parachutes. Yes, you've heard it well and no, I'm not joking. Wonders of couture fashion, her dresses are beyond imagination: light as feathers, gorgeous and extremely versatile.
She graduated the Paris College of Art and then she wanted to do something unique, that has never been seen, so, she started exploiting new materials. It was only in 2005 that one of her friends came along with 15 used parachutes. She fully embraced the material and started playing with it. After long and sometimes frustrating experiments it was the material that dictated: "it's an extremely light material, but at the same time it's extremely fragile and allows you to make small adornments such as little flowers".
No usual recycling, but real transformations! Why? Due to ecological conviction, to come up with something brand new, for innovation.

The recognition soon came. She had dozens of fashion presentation in France and not only and she owns the record for the "highest fashion presentation", established in 2014 after a presentation above Chamonix, on the Aiguille du Midi. In June 2014, her creations appeared on the Italian version of Vogue, who declared that "parachute dress is the new trend for 2015."

If you're fond of the whole idea of green-eco clothing, of paraglider and parachute material dresses, Valerie's dresses are available for sale. For more info, go to Valerie's website.
