Tribute to Charlie Hebdo in Chamonix

On Thursday, the 8th January 2015, the Triangle de l'Amitié square hosted more than 300 people who were paying tribute to the 12 dead journalists, victims of the attack on Charlie Hebdo.

The movement entitled "Je suis Charlie" was launched on the all Chamonix social networks, inviting the population to join in a moment of silence.
A painful event for all those who protested this crime against humanity. The crowd expressed their total disaccord and the willingness to "the freedom of expression" - a value that must be defended and for which we must fight.

We also stand in solidarity with all journalists, cartoonists, and social commentators threatened with violence. We pray the shooters are found and brought to justice.

In order to pay tribute to the victims of the attack against "Charlie Hebdo", another ceremony is announced for this evening.
