Another tragic day, a French alpiniste lost his life while descending the normal route of The Aiguille de la République (Haute-Savoie).
Emergency mission for the Chamonix PGHM this weekend. The rescuers were alerted at 1am about an accident occurred just before the midnight. The victim, a French man lost his life while descending the Aiguille de la République, a route of 3305 m behind the Envers des Aiguilles Refuge.
Unfortunately, there was nothing to do for the French climber. He passed way on the early morning of Sunday, June 21.
Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim.
