CMB plans to invest in Megève's ski resort

08 September 2015. The Compagnie du Mont Blanc continues its programme of investment.
Chamonix's lifts operator and the first ski lift company in France in terms of activities and annual sales figures decided to invest in Megève ski lifts and its ski area in order to resurrect the Mont Blanc old village.

Following the audit procedure from 2014, the authorities came to the conclusion that Megève's Alpine skiing area (400km), known as the "Domaine Évasion Mont Blanc" needs a major and urgent improvement. This is a decision taken as the ski resort does not meet all maximum security services and does not fulfill the clients expectations and requirements.

In a tough economic context, the Municipality of Megève has decided to approach the CMB.
Megève and Chamonix valley have both as reference and main target the Mont Blanc views. That is why the CMB agreed and launched a plan for a medium-term investment in Megève to renovate the existing facilities and increase the quality of services.

The new business partnership aims to:
- improve the strength and the stability of lifts;
- launch an investment programme to renovate the aging fleet;
- propose a tariff plan adapted to customers needs.

This is an equitable partnership for both parties involved, as well as for the tourists coming in Chamonix. The Mont Blanc Unlimited is to become not only the access card in Chamonix valley but a real opportunity to visit an another historic Mont-Blanc ski resort.
