Serious wingsuit accident took place yesterday, 5th November, on the Moussoux route from Chamonix.
At about 1pm on Thursday, a 39-year-old American man launched from the Brevent summit (2525m).
Near the landing field, close to Moussoux, witnesses say that the wing suit pilot's parachute did not fully deploy at the end of the flight. He impacted with the ground at high speed and was seriously injured.
Immediately, the Chamonix PGHM was called to the scene of the accident. They evacuated the victim, by helicopter, direct to the Emergency Room at Annecy Hospital.
