The Compagnie du Mont Blanc together with the town of Chamonix and La Chamoniarde, have worked together the past few years to create an on-mountain ski touring trail within the confines of the Le Tour ski area. This ski touring path/trail is the 3rd of its kind in Chamonix and allows skiers to participate and practice popular sport of ski touring and ski mountaineering on a pre-determined and safe route.
Le Tour / Charamillon / Les Autannes Ski Touring track:
- Start: Charamillon Gondola
- Finish: Top of the Charamillon Gondola or Top of Les Autannes Chairlift
- Estimated time: 1 to 2 hours (750m D+)
- Descent: Ski down through the main ski area.
- Safety: This route has a very low risk of avalanche, but always bring a cell phone programmed with the number of the PGHM (+33 (0)4 50 53 16 89).
