Tour de France: 17th Stage between “Bern - Finhaut/Barrage d’Emosson Dam (Road Conditions)
From the 20th to 23rd July 2016 the Chamonix Valley is at the center of 17, 18, 19 and 20th stages of the Tour de France.
Near the Emosson Dam, Megeve, St Gervais and Sallanches, the Chamonix Valley is the perfect place if you want to follow all the mountain stages and the time trial stage of the 2016 Tour de France.
INFOS ROUTE / ROAD CONDITIONS
July 20th 2016
Col des Montets will be closed to all vehicles.
All the trafficwill be closed between the border and Argentiere from 6am to 22h.
Pedestrian: the Emosson dam will be closed to pedestrians from 15h to midnight.

CYCLING / BY BIKE
Cyclists: To get to the Tour de France, the best way is the bike!
Park and ride:
1) parking from the Grands Montets at Argentiere. Estimated time cycling between the car park and Vallorcine: 1 hour
2) parking of Le Tour / Balme. Estimated time to bike between the car park and Vallorcine: 1 hour
3) Grépon parking at the entrance to Chamonix (paying). Estimated time to bike between the car park and Vallorcine: 1:30
4) parking Prarion Les Houches. Estimated time cycling between the car park and Vallorcine: 2h
5) Parking Gare de Servoz. Estimated time cycling between the car park and Vallorcine: 3h
ACCES BY TRAIN
By train via the Mont Blanc Express
Every hour, with the Mont Blanc Express, there a train leaving from Chamonix to Vallorcine
Every half hour, and ONLY under reservation with the TMR, there will be a train between Vallorcine and Finhaut.
