Friday 20th October 2017, during the city council, the elected representatives of the Community of Communes of the Chamonix valley made some adjustments concerning certain investments in the ski area.
According to Le Dauphine, the replacement of the current Charamillon gondola, scheduled for 2017, is delayed to allow time for discussion with the inhabitants of the village of Le Tour.
Instead, unscheduled works were carried out in 2017 with the joint agreement of the Community of Communes: the artificial snow work at the Grands Montets area (on the slope of Coqs and Combes); also shortening is planned for the Col de Balme ski lift.
