According to the management company GEIE-TMB, from March to June 2018, the Mont Blanc Tunnel will be renewing a 555 metres section of road deck.
The innovative technology used to maintain this road, strategic for the local and the European economy, means that works will be mainly carried out at night and the road will be open again every morning.
Possible inconvenience from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. and from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. due to the transit of any vehicles under escort.

The key figures of the renovation project:
- 555 linear metres of road deck to renew;
- 222 prefabricated elements for the new deck;
- 385 hours of tunnel closure;
