More fresh snow today in the Chamonix valley, above 1300m, and soft spring snow on lower groomed pistes. After a couple of sunnier days early this week, with some southerly foehn wind, an intense weather front passed over us on Wednesday night, leaving about 30cm of fresh snow in the mid mountain, and white trees above 1300m this morning. Today got pretty warm, though, and the avalanche danger was high (level 4 out of 5).
