According to the Town Hall of Chamonix, after the development of the cycle lane between the bridge of Piralotaz and the Gaillands, the development of cycle routes Chemin Napoléon and the laying of a footbridge over the Arve, at the level of Piralotaz Bridge, the works on the "véloroute" (cycle and pedestrians) to connect the valley will continue this spring 2018.
From Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd April 2018:
Traffic on the Bossons road, at the Piralotaz bridge construction site, is alternated with yard signaling during the day while the teams are working.
From Monday 23rd April to Friday 4th May 2018 included:
The roads Bossons and Gaillands will be completely closed to traffic.
A road deviation is imposed from the Carrefour of Lionel Terray, in direction of the Blanche road to join Les Houches and from the Carrefour des Montquarts and the road of Tissières towards the road Blanche to reach Chamonix.
Concerning the bus traffic, considering the works, the following stops, served by the line 1, will be unavailable:
- "Les Montquarts" (ascending direction) Les Houches-Chamonix (at the right of the Bossons school);
- "Les Bossons";"
- Les Pélerins" (right bank of the Arve);"
- Les Gaillands";
- "Les Pècles-Moussoux".
The line 1 will be directed to the Montquarts by the road of the Tissières and the road of the Rives and then come back to Promenade Marie Paradis until the Favrands and road of the Pélerins until the stop "salle de convivialité" in the direction Les Houches to Chamonix and vice versa in the other direction (route of the line 2 between Chamonix and Les Montquarts).
Thus users who usually use these stops mentioned may turn to the other stops as indicated below:
- "Les Montquarts" ascending direction Les Houches-Chamonix (at the right of the Bossons school) moved in front of the stop "Les Montquarts" downward direction Chamonix-Les Houches;
- "Les Bossons" is moved to the stop "Les Rives" on the road of Rives;
- "Les Pélerins" (right bank of the Arve) moved to the stop "Pélerins" (left Bank of the Arve on Promenade Marie Paradis);"
- Les Gaillands" moved to the stop "Les Pélerins" (left Bank of the Arve on Promenade Marie Paradis);"
- Les Pècles-Moussoux" moved to the stop "Les Favrands" (on Promenade Marie Paradis).
Before boarding the bus, please check the direction indicated on the weathervanes.
This deviation is cumulative with the current deviation operated on the road of the Alpages in Les Houches.
To allow schoolchildren of the line 1 to arrive on time to the various school groups, the departure of the Prarion in the morning of the school bus to Chamonix will be advanced to 7:15am instead of 7:22am depending on the progress of work on the route des Alpages and from the next school year.
