Three alpinists survive 600-meters fall in the Eugster corridor, at the Aiguille du Midi

Late Sunday morning, the 31st of March 2019, three alpinists fell an impressive 600 meters in the Eugster corridor, at the Aiguille du Midi.

The PGHM intervened immediately and the alpinists were secured to the hospitals.

Sunday morning, the PGHM of Chamonix, reinforced by colleagues from Annecy and a doctor from the Hospitals of the Mont-Blanc (HPMB), intervened by helicopter to rescue three alpinists.

The three alpinists fell in the Eugster corridor, at the Aiguille du Midi.

Fortunately, despite having fallen 600 metres down a 1000 metres vertical wall, the three alpinists were taken to the hospital with only minor injuries.

One of them was evacuated to Annecy hospital while the others were taken to the Sallanches hospital.
