Yesterday, the 18th of September 2019, the PGHM of Chamonix discovered the body of the hiker who disappeared on the heights of Servoz / Passy.
Most likely, the 50-year-old man fell to the bottom of the Gorges de I. Diosaz.
The man was reported missing on the 13th of September when he was supposed to return home from his independent hike but he failed to do so.
Jean-François Jaillot was found thanks to a cooperation between the high mountain gendarmerie platoon (PGHM) of Chamonix and the nautical brigade of Aix les Bains, putting an end to 5 and a half days of research.
