The Léman Express might be disturbed by the Strike

The Léman Express is a new train line that will connect Geneva to Saint-Gervais-Les-Bains - Le Fayet.

The Léman Express was expected to start circulating on 15 December 2019.

However, a strike might be disrupting the circulation of the Léman Express (Radio Mont-Blanc).

There are only three days left until December 15th, when the first trains of the new Léman Express are scheduled to circulate.

Still, the French railway unions have given notice of a movement that might disrupt the planned schedule of the Léman Express.

The purpose of this strike is to defend local demand and it is not part of the national strike.

Particularly, the unions are asking for the introduction of a cost-of-living bonus, to compensate for part of the wage gap with their Swiss colleagues.

They also denounce the mandatory driver change at Annemasse station, between Swiss and French. "A waste of time", according to them.
