UTMB® 2020: Big Names already Announced

Many professional trail-runners have already announced their arrival in Chamonix for one of the most expected ultra-trail competitions of the year.

The 18th edition of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® will take place from 24 August to 30 August 2020.

Many experienced runners are expected at the 2020 edition of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc.

Among them, the American Jim Walmsley has already announced his presence at the queen race, the UTMB (around 171 km with about 10,000 metres of height gain).

Jim Walmsley finished fifth in 2017 but skipped the 2018 edition of the UTMB®.

Winner of the Diagonale des Fous in October, the local Grégoire Curmer will seek to confirm his new status.

The defending champion Pau Capell has not made any announcement yet, while the female winner of the 2019 edition, American Courtney Dauwalter, will participate in the 2020 edition of the UTMB®.

The pre-registration for the UTMB races closed on 2 January 2020.

The results of the draw will be announced on 9 January 2020, at 10 am (Paris time).

Please remember that the lucky runners who pass the draw will have a period of 14 days, until 22 January 2020, to finalise their registration by paying, by credit-card, the balance of the registration price and sending in all the required supporting documents.
