The 4th edition of this entertaining Chamonix valley competition will begin on 14 February 2020.
Intervallée 2020 will see teams from different Chamonix valley municipalities compete against each other in interesting and hilarious challenges!
For the 4th edition of Intervallée, Servoz, Les Houches and Chamonix will try to take the trophy from Vallorcine, the winner of last year's edition.
The competition will spread over four consecutive Fridays, from 14 February to 6 March 2020 & it will take place in all four participant communes: Servoz (1st round), Vallorcine (2nd round), Chamonix (3rd round) and Les Houches (final round).
The four teams will energetically compete against each other in a cultural, burlesque and sporty event, which has the purpose of entertaining tourists and reinforcing links between the municipalities of the valley.
Rules of competition
The four teams will consist of 15 to 25 people who want to defend their commune. It is not necessary for the teams to remain the same throughout all the stages.
Each commune is responsible for providing the required materials and proposing a place for the stage taking place in their commune. The place may either be in town or snow-covered.
Each organizing town will present three challenges for the competitors, which will last 15-20 minutes.
Between challenges, the teams will have to answer three questions on the history of Chamonix valley.
Mulled wine & sandwiches
Besides being a very entertaining competition, there will also be mulled wine and snacks for everyone.
Three people from each team will make mulled wine and cold or hot snacks.
They are allowed the add a personal touch to the wine and, at the end of the day, 11 "judges", chosen from the spectators, will vote the best mulled wine.
