This page is details the opening and closing dates and times of all the ski lifts, cable cars, gondolas, mountain trains and chairlifts in the Chamonix valley.
In Chamonix, its good for you to know that at any time if the year there is always at least one installation that is open for touristic and visiting purposes.
In Winter, the 5 ski resorts are open from mid-December till mid-April.
On top of that, there is the Aiguille du Midi, the Montenvers Train and the Tramway du Mont Blanc.
In Summer, the chair and drag lifts in the ski resorts are closed. However, in each of the 5 resorts a lift from the valley floor to the resort will be open, so you can access the mountain easily and enjoy the views, check out the restaurants, have easy access to a mid mountain hike and faster access to the high mountains for alpinists.
In Summer, there is also a gondola lift service called Panoramic Mont Blanc that travels high above the glaciers between France and Italy. Its the ride of a lifetime.
