The Canadian mountain sports brand Arc'teryx opens its first mountain store in Chamonix and sets up shop at the foot of Mont Blanc
Chamonix, a showcase for mountain and outdoor technical textile brands, is more than true at the start of 2025. After the French brand - from Haute-Savoie - Lagoped, it is the turn of the Canadian Arc'teryx to open a store at the foot of Mont Blanc, where mountain fashion trends are tested.
The store will serve as a community space throughout the year
For the Canadian brand, this is its first store of its own in the mountains and it is inevitably in the inevitable rue du Docteur Paccard that it has chosen to install its 242 square meters. Beyond the business aspect, it is strengthening a local anchoring that has been well established for more than 13 years, with the Alpine Academy.
This educational Alpine gathering and mountain culture festival attracts more than 12,000 visitors over four days and trains more than 500 people, beginners or experienced, in good mountain practices.
In this same spirit, the store will serve as a community place throughout the year, organizing film evenings, educational courses on site or in the mountains.
