The Te Crew in Himalaya

To prepare for this new "extra-alpine" adventure, the young Chamonix crew have been training in their skis since mid-April: Eigster corridor (north face of Aiguille du Midi), Tour Ronde North Face, North Face Col du Plan, couloir Robert Chéré (Aiguilletes du Diable) Chardonet southern couloir, the couloirAngelica Short, Mallory route opposite North face of Aiguille du Midi... to name a few! Marchesseau Alexander, Jeremy Audibert, Vivian Bruchez, Gex Florent Valentin Lafouge Peschier and Remi are now underway to reach the base camp of Tilicho peak (7134 m) summit they intend to descent on ski, mono-ski and speedflying (paragliding ski). And do not think that these six youngsters, gathered in a cohesive team and (very) closely followed by the world of extreme climbing - Te Crew - are seeing to far. Their track record counts with ascents and descent that could embarrass more than a few! Leaving Manang, the village of the Annapurnas, now they walk in the pouring rain to arrive, probably Monday, at the base camp and begin their acclimation period. If all goes as they wish, they should reach for the Tilicho summit ten days later. If the snow does not block the access ... But this is part of all expedition in the Himalayas. in le Dauphine, 11/10/09
