Renovation of the Albert 1er hut in 2011 (Chamonix)

Next year, 2011, at the Spring, the CAF (Alpine French Club) will start doing some renovation work on the Albert 1er hut, located in one of the sides of the Le Tour glacier. The hut will have an extra floor, the goal is to become more conformable for trekkers and alpinists. The structure of the new floor will be according with the new directives of energy saving. But if the hut will be bigger, the capacity wont change. It will remain the same, 150 people. The idea is to reduce the size and transform the big dorm rooms into smaller rooms more conformable.
