The PGHM Chamonix (mountain rescue) went out yesterday for 2 rescues in high altitude. The first, to rescue two french climbers blocked at the Point Crou, in the northern side of the Aiguille Verte. They left Sunday morning with the goal of climbing the summit of the Aiguille Verte that day. But they didn't. The two men had to spend the night on the ridge and wait until the morning to be rescued by the PGHM. One night in extreme conditions that they will remember. The second rescue: a group of 6 skiers on the Vallee Blanche that overestimated their ski level. Blocked in the middle of the Vallée Blanche, they had to call the PGHM to help them to come down to Chamonix (by helicopter). Le Dauphiné
