8 deadly avalanches since last Friday

The last avalanche occurred last Sunday in the Aravis Area, at the Pointe d'Areu. Three skiers were doing some ski touring when an avalanche of 250 meters wide and 1 km long took them. one of the skiers was buried by snow. Thanks to its transceiver, this Savoyard of 38 years old, was found, but police rescuers haven't managed to resuscitate him. He died. And it has been like this in the Alps since Friday, 8 people died in avalanches.
