Inter municipal taxes to rise

With a total budget of 13.4 million euros, this year the Community of Municipalities of the Valley of Chamonix Mont-Blanc is to invest 3 million euros. In order to fund this, however, inter-municipal taxes will need to be increased. This Tuesday night, elected officials of the community council voted for increases of 0.35% on the Taxe d'Habitation and 0.36% on the Taxe Fonciere. On average, these two taxes will cost 25 euros extra in 2011. With these 2 increases, the community will collect 484,000 euros and complete the two major projects of this year: a medical home and an inter-community music school. Radio Mont Blanc
