It's not really a surprise but more of a confirmation: the world's elite outdoor runners will be in Chamonix in late August for The North Face Mont Blanc Ultra Trail. According to the organisers' calculations, there are 33 men capable of winning a top 10 place. If the Spaniard Kilian Jornet is the favorite, he will compete against 8 Americans who now consider the UTMB as the race where they can meet & test themselves against the world's elite. In short, a true world championship. Not to be forgotten are the Japanese, the Italian Marco Olmo (two times winner), the Spanish, one Swiss (!), and finally 9 French: all are among the favorites for a top placing. The UTMB departure will be on Friday, August 26 at 18:30 in central Chamonix, for a maximum of 46 hours of effort & controlled pain. Radio Mont Blanc
