New Medical-Social Centre in Chamonix

Yesterday (Monday), the President of the General Council inaugurated a new Medical-Social Centre building in Chamonix, which has moved from the old hospital in rue du Lyret. There are now 27 Medical-Social Centres in Haute-Savoie. This renovation of an old house in the heart of Chamonix has been made possible thanks to a donation from the Department of Haute-Savoie. The new Medical-Social Centre has infact been open since 26 February. It can serve up to 400 homes in the Chamonix valley with a staff of 2 social assistants, two social / family economics counsellors, a nursery nurse, a midwife, a doctor and two secretaries.
