This weekend, Chamonix is hosting its annual market for lovers of crystals and other minerals. It all starts tonight with a lecture at the Cinema Vox, all about emeralds. From tomorrow Saturday 6 August, fifty exhibitors both professional and amateur will be in the "Pierre de Coubertin" gym to show, discuss and even sell their best pieces. At the same time, the 45 year old "Mineralogy Club of Chamonix" (the organiser of the event) will be organising some exhibits. The 44th "Bourse aux Minéraux de Chamonix" will be open all weekend from 9am to 6pm. Adult entry is 4 euros, 2 euros for teenagers/students, & free for the under 14's.
