There was more fear than harm done early yesterday afternoon when the train from Martigny to Chamonix was derailed between Finhaut (Switzerland) and Vallorcine. Of the ten passengers plus driver onboard, no-one was hurt. The accident was caused by a cliff collapsing, causing a rock fall across the tracks. The line for the moment remains closed. The company that operates the train, "Transports de Martigny et Régions", has organised a temporary bus service between Finhaut and France.
