Yesterday at around 16:30 on the Glacier du Tour, two skiers set-off a snow slide. The avalanche overcame the two men and pushed one of them over a steep drop of several hundred meters. The skier, a 37 year old German, was dragged over several rock bands and appears to have died from numerous injuries. Although the victim was buried, he was quickly recovered from the snow by gendarmes who were on a rescue exercise in the area.
