Work to finalise the interior of the new Refuge du Goûter resumed on March 27, and an opening ceremony will be held in late July to mark the end of this two year project, potentially in the presence of a French minister. The public opening of the new refuge will then be in early August. The change-over from the old to the new refuge will therefore take place in peak season. The "steering committee" will also address the refuge's reservation system, as well as the number of places reserved for the use of guides.
