Lavancher worries about proposed chairlift project

To upgrade the Plan Joran chairlift in the Grands Montets ski area, the Compagnie du Mont Blanc is seriously considered going through the village of Lavancher to complete the work. The idea would be to enlarge the forest track that leads to the "Pendant" pastures, and then to transport all the materials by road, given that the Pierre à Ric would be too steep. In the village of Lavancher, there are concerns about the disruption and the consequences. On Tuesday, a townhall meeting brought together about fifty residents.
