According to a press release of Thursday 14th December 2017, issued by Mont-Blanc Natural Resort:
The heavy snowfall of these past few days as well as strong winds in high altitude have caused delays for the opening of Aiguille du Midi site. So, the CMB operating teams posponed the annual pre-opening maintenance operations of the Aiguille du Midi cable-car.
Therefore and subject to the weather conditions, Mont-Blanc Natural Resort inform you on the new opening dates:
Monday 18th December 2017
Opening of Chamonix - Plan de l’Aiguille 2317m (1st section).

The opening of the 2nd section : Plan de l’Aiguille – Aiguille du Midi 3777m should take place in the middle of the next week.
