The Compagnie du Mont-Blanc, main operator of the ski-lifts in Chamonix valley in collaboration with BlaBlaCar (long distance ridesharing community platform) encourage car sharing by offering a 5% discount on ski pass "Chamonix Le Pass" (1 day to 21 days) to those who arrive in a shared car in Chamonix Mont-Blanc.
This system operates via the blablacar.fr website. Here you can choose between being the BlaBlaCar driver (with a trip to Chamonix) or the passenger.
If you are the car driver, it takes only a few steps to register your trip:
- The car driver registers his trip to Chamonix;
- Then one or more passengers book a seat in the car and pays online;
- Everyone gets an email confirmation from BlaBlaCar.
When they all arrive in Chamonix, they can go with their BlaBlaCar email confirmation to the Montenvers cash desk, located at 35 Place de la Mer de Glace to pick up their discounted passes, 5% discount on ski pass "Chamonix Le Pass.
