Sports events:
As you already know, this year Chamonix is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Golden Age of mountaineering. From late June to late October 2015, lots of activities will please all Chamonix's visitors. You will have the possibility to view the glaciers as never seen before and discover a rich program of exhibitions, events, films, books and excursions all summer long.
- Critérium du Dauphiné, starts on June 7. This is one of France's most prestigious cycling stage races and a warm up event for the Tour de France. On the 13th - 14th June, the event will pass at 30km from Chamonix (in St Gervais), so you have the opportunity to see the riders on their 7th and 8th stage of the race.
- From Friday 12 June to Sunday 14 June 2015, we invite you to the Arc'teryx Alpine Arc'ademy, a three day event of mountaineering education and inspiration! Alpine enthusiasts from around the world will meet again to share their technical skills and learn from Europe’s top mountain guides. Clinic registration is still open!
- Another legendary event in the Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley that attracts international level and amateur trail runners from around the world is Mont-Blanc Marathon, for this skyrunning world competition you can attempt to one of the five races, to get involved and join to the big family of volunteers or just follow the runners.
Music events:
If you are looking for music or just a bit of party, one of the anticipated events is Music Festival 2015. The French national celebration that takes place on 21 June is different from other music festival in that all the concerts and performances are free to the public and none of the artists are paid. On this day, the bars and streets of Chamonix will hold various parties, concerts and spectacles, and all free of charge!
This is not not all, the most important is just to come! What do you say about eight days of pure musical delight? Yes, that's true! The CosmoJazz Festival is back in Chamonix. Between 25 Jul - 02 Aug 2015 come experience a mix of live music in different mountain locations.
