Ice Hockey: Christophe Ville new sports manager of Chamonix-Morzine Hockey Club

Friday 17 February 2017, the management of the Chamonix-Morzine Hockey Club officially announced on the CMHC website, that Christophe Ville was named the new sports manager until the end of the season of the Saxoprint Magnus League.

The sporting results of the Savoyard Ice Hockey club were deemed insufficient at the end of the regular 2016-2017 season, so CMHC directors decided to make changes to the management team, especially after two big defeats against Dijon (6-2) and at home to Strasbourg (6-0).

Stéphane Gros, who was coach of Morzine-Avoriaz for 5 seasons and coach of the Chamonix Club for 7 years, is no longer the coach of the Chamonix-Morzine Hockey Club, The Pioneers. Stéphane remains at the club's disposal till the end of the season.

The successor of Stéphane Gros is Christophe Ville (53), a well-known figure in Haute-Savoie hockey. Already he is part of the team management with responsibility for monitoring team performance.

Both, coach and a businessman, Christophe Ville has built his own company, that sells imported ice hockey equipment.

Good luck to Christophe Ville, the new sports manager of The Pioneers! He has the responsibility to coach this neo-club, starting a few days before the beginning of the Poule de Maintien.

The mission is to save a place for The Pioneers in the elite league of the French hockey.
