The temperatures are below freezing: max -6 °C on Wednesday 20th Feb 2013 morning and min -14°C on Thursday 21th February 2013 maintaining the crystal structure of the snow. Wind is generally light and not effecting the snow structure. Last snow fall: 15th February 2013.
All five ski areas in Chamonix Valley are in amazing condition and all 58 lifts are open.
Pistes
All pistes are in very good condition and are well maintained every night with copious quantities of stored snow being re-applied to the few very high traffic areas.
The resort runs excellent.
Off piste snow: tracked powder.
Chamonix always tracks out fast but the huge area of all pistes allows the adventure skier to find virgin snow. Where the off pistes areas are tracked out, the snow structure remains in good condition, so off-piste skiing is enjoyable, safe and extensive.
There is a chance of fresh snow on Sunday.
