Two deaths in the same area a year ago
At the Chorde corridor, which leads to the Pormenaz area, the area is known for being steep. The summer passage is not passable in the same conditions as in winter. Moreover, a year ago, on February 5, 2024, two hikers fell into the void, victims of a fatal fall. History tends to repeat itself. It was there, near these slopes, that this Wednesday, February 19, the body of the man in his twenties was found lifeless.
According to initial findings, the victim was moving alone and would have fallen about a hundred meters. The rescuers could only note the death of this hiker.
