This week, the Chamonix Hockey Club announced the departure of his central player, Andrew Johnston. He signed a contract with the Bordeaux Boxers for the upcoming season.
In order to fill this departure, the managers decided to recruit the American player Erik Higby.
Erik Higby:
Erik is 28 years old, with 1.80m for 84 kg
He is a professional central player with a solid experience, originally from New Braunfels (Texas).

According to Le Dauphine, in the United States he finished his training at NCAA college. In 2014. he got recruited in the professional championship US ECHL League (3rd division).
So far he got a total of 165 games played and 73 points scored (35 goals and 38 assists). With the experience from the previous team (Utah Grizzlies) he proved to be a key element and one of the most valuable players. "Erik is a very versatile player and scores big goals for us. More importantly, he is a big part of our leadership core" said coach Tim Branham, when he was re-appointed last summer with the Grizzlies.
With his experience and skills, he is an ideal reinforcement for the Pioneers!
