Sunday 17th September 2017, the Finnish coach Heikki Leime scored his first win in his first game as sports manager of the Pioneers.
The Pioneers of Chamonix received the Scorpions of Mulhouse in thir second home match of the 2017/2018 season of the SAXOPRINT Magnus League. They won (4-3) after a very intense and disputed game of which, without doubt Mulhouse will be a rival in the maintien.
According to Le Dauphine, the Pioneers made the difference in the final ten minutes thanks to goals of Rundgren (3-2, 50:38) and Johnston (4-2, 53:45). Also, they have taken the first gap early in the game (2-0) thanks to Besson and Goncalves, but Mulhouse returned via Treille and Ostman (2-2).
Treille scored twice at the very end of the match (4-3, 59'39) but Chamonix held his first win of the season.
Upcoming match at the Richard Bozon Ice Rink in Chamonix: Tuesday 19th September 2017, from 8:30pm, the Pioneers will face the Ducs d'Angers, placed 5th in the ranking of the Magnus League.
