Wednesday morning, 20 December 2017, several dozen of people from: the Chamonix PGHM (high mountain rescue team), the Firefighter Mountain Rescue Group GMSP, staff from La Chamoniarde, the Emergency Mountain service CRS, the piste service, ski instructors, staff from UCPA as well as the civil security helicopter Dragon 74, took part in the annual avalanche exercise of La Chamoniarde (the local mountain security association) on the north face of Charamillon.
According to Le Dauphine, various workshops were organized to share and update the knowledge. Watch the video below:

The DVA Days in 2018
In 2018, La Chamoniarde in partnership with the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc will organize the DVA Days Security Training, free workshops of about 50 minutes to learn avalanche research techniques.
A High Mountain Guide from La Chamoniarde will teach you the basic searching skills of avalanche victims: DVA research, using a beacon, probing and shovelling.
- On Sunday 14 January et 18 February 2018 at the DVA Park in La Flegere.
- On Sunday 11 March 2018 at the Grands Montets DVA Park.
Sessions: at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm.
You must be equipped with a digital DVA (Victim Detector of Avalanche), a probe and a shovel.
