The French ultra-trail runner Michel Lanne of Team Salomon, won TDS® on Wednesday evening 30th August 2017, in Chamonix. It is his second victory in his many participations at UTMB. He was the winner of the CCC last year.
The duo Antoine Guillon and Sylvain Camus completed the podium and placed 2nd and 3rd place respectively, three minutes behind the winner Michel Lanne.
TDS® "In the footsteps of the Dukes of Savoy": around 119 km and 7,200 metres of height gain, between Courmayeur and Chamonix.

In the women's event, the Swedish ultra-trail runner Mimmi Kotka won the TDS® 2017.
Maud Gobert and the Hungarian Ildiko Wermescher placed 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
